Colours
The four forms of each colour
Colours are adjectives and agree with the noun: חֻלְצָה אֲדֻמָּה — a red shirt, נַעֲלַיִם שְׁחֹרוֹת — black shoes. The basic colours follow the פָּעֹל pattern; their feminine and plural forms have “u” and a dagesh: אֲדֻמָּה.

Shades: כֵּהֶה — dark, בָּהִיר — light, follow the colour and also agree: שִׂמְלָה יְרֻקָּה כֵּהָה — a dark green dress. “What colour?” is בְּאֵיזֶה צֶבַע?
