Possessive endings: singular noun

סִפְרִי — my book, מִשְׁפַּחְתִּי — my family

In speech people say הַסֵּפֶר שֶׁלִּי, but the suffixed forms are everywhere in writing, in fixed words (מִשְׁפַּחְתִּי, בַּעֲלִי — my husband, אִשְׁתִּי — my wife, בְּנִי, בִּתִּי) and in songs. The endings are the same as on type-1 prepositions. Feminine nouns ending in ־ָה get a ת before the ending.
