לִפְנֵי — before me, in front of me
The preposition לִפְנֵי (lifnei) with pronoun endings
לִפְנֵי means “before” both in space and in time (לִפְנֵי שָׁבוּעַ — a week ago). With pronouns the vowels change: לְפָנַי.

Example: הוּא עוֹמֵד לְפָנַי בַּתּוֹר — he is standing in front of me in the queue. הִגַּעְנוּ לִפְנֵיהֶם — we arrived before them.
