יֵשׁ לִי / אֵין לִי — I have / I don't have
Possession with יֵשׁ / אֵין + the preposition לְ
Hebrew has no verb “to have”. “I have” is יֵשׁ (“there is”) + לִי (“to me”); “I don't have” is אֵין + לִי. In the past and future, יֵשׁ becomes הָיָה / יִהְיֶה: הָיָה לִי, יִהְיֶה לִי.
