Pa'al conjugation: לִכְתֹּב — to write

Model regular pa'al verb (shlemim)

Regular pa'al verbs follow this model: לִסְגֹּר (to close), לִגְמֹר (to finish), לִשְׁמֹר (to keep), לִזְכֹּר (to remember), לִרְקֹד (to dance), לִבְדֹּק (to check). Present tense is the כּוֹתֵב pattern, the infinitive is לִפְעֹל.

In speech the future often replaces the imperative: תִּכְתֹּב! instead of כְּתֹב. A negative command always uses the future: אַל תִּכְתֹּב — don't write.
